We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer Administrator:

Works as part of a small and exclusive IT team to design and define IT system architectures (physical and virtual) for new Technical Security System (TSS) networks. Evaluate, test and integrate new architecture with existing computer systems. Performs complex systems administration, development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering. Performs systems hardening, modeling, simulation, and analysis down to the packet-level. Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Participates in special projects as required.

Desired Skills and Capabilities:

  • Systems integration to an Ethernet LAN topology
  • Systems administration of servers running WIN Server 2008R2/2012R2 and SQL server
  • Design server farm for high availability services
  • Build-up of bare metal servers
  • Cloning server configurations
  • Securing servers to NIST conformance for cyber security
  • P2V and V2P server migrations (develop requirements/specifications for host, build VMs, troubleshoot VMS and hosts
  • Use of packet capture and analysis tools
  • Bandwidth and throughput design engineering and troubleshooting
  • Configuration management and control tools such as Solarwinds
  • Patch management (build, test, deploy, troubleshoot patch updates)
  • Familiarity with Shavlik
  • Active Directory server administration and maintenance
  • Performance and health monitoring
  • Certificate management
  • VMWare
  • Strong writing and speaking skills
  • Appropriate current certifications: CompTIA Sec+CE, CompTIA Network+CE, CCNA, MCSE, etc.



  • 8 years + years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
  • Background with US and international technical (physical) security systems designs/implementations.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills. Multi-tasker; self-starter; team-oriented.
  • Secret Clearance required.
