JOB DESCRIPTION:


This position is for a senior software developer to develop custom web applications written for the State of Michigan. Job responsibilities include:
Interact with State of Michigan end users and management to determine project requirements
Write requirements documentation for review and approval by the State of Michigan client
Estimate effort and duration needed to complete application development tasks
Design and create database tables and queries to implement application logic
Perform coding, unit testing, integration testing, assist with user testing
Participate in daily SCRUM activities
Write test plans for users to follow during user acceptance testing
Participate in code reviews and internal testing for other team members

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:
HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Transact SQL, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures

Microsoft Visual Studio
Good written and verbal communication skills
The MFR support staff sit in the client office area, and interact with State of Michigan employees on a daily basis. The ability to communicate with our client clearly and professionally is important in this setting.

Microsoft Web APIs
Model View Presenter architecture (MVC, MVVM, etc.)

Skills:
This position is for a senior software developer to develop custom web applications written for the State of Michigan. Key skills include HTML5, JavaScript, Angular JS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests and maintains existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements.

Applications solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new programs, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications and information systems.

Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies.

Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 10 to12 years
